Robert grew up in Richmond and graduated from Otago University in 1997 with both a law degree and a Bachelor of Commerce. After finishing law school, Robert worked in Nelson law firms before heading overseas to the UK. In the UK he worked as in-house counsel for an international telecommunications company and as a solicitor for London law firms.

Returning to NZ, Robert joined Richmond Law in 2010 becoming a partner in 2012.

Robert specialises in property law with an emphasis on commercial property, commercial law, trusts, estates, and advising on business and family wealth succession. Robert acts for local and national based corporate clients.

Outside of the office Robert sits on the board of the Rainbow Ski Area Committee.
